The final Unicorn Ceilidh before the summer break will take place next week, featuring Devon band Crowdy-Kit.

The dance will be held at St Mary's Church, Baldock from 8pm to 11pm on Friday, May 10, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

Ceilidh band Crowdy-Kit features three of the west country's finest dance musicians, playing traditional tunes which encourage people to get up and dance.

Hannah plays the fiddle, Matt is on piano and Jon plays the flute, the three of them creating an energetic and uplifting sound.

Dances will be announced by caller Andy Rouse - who is no stranger to Unicorn Ceilidhs, bringing "an infectious energy and enthusiasm, combined with a great repertoire of dances".

Morris dancers Golden Hare, from Ampthill in Bedfordshire, will provide the interval entertainment, performing dances from their local Morris traditions in Ampthill and Scouthall.
