Upwell Academy opened its doors to the public this week, offering new community library provision in the village for the first time.
After recent refurbishment and investment in a range of new fiction and non-fiction books, principal Miss Ellington, academy librarian Ms Roberts and the academy's deputy and reading champion Mrs Fisher welcomed parents, children and local community members.
They were invited in to enjoy the environment with family and friends and explore and borrow books.
"It was a very successful inaugural event," said principal Teresa Ellington.
The library will next be open to members of the public on Saturday May 18 from 9-10am.
Visit the academy's website for more information or their Facebook page.
Contact Miss Ellington via email office@upa.eastern-mat.co.uk if you'd like to know more.
