A Cambridgeshire flyball team is "excited and honoured" to be selected to represent Team GB in Germany - but they need around £3,500 to help get them there.
TimeFlyZ, based in Chatteris, is hosting several fundraising events over the next couple of months to help them get to the Flyball Open World Cup 2024 this June.
These include a fun/pedigree dog show at Skylark Garden Centre, which will go towards covering entrance fees, travel, accommodation, rabies vaccinations, passports and the team's kit.
James Hancock, TimeFlyZ member, said: "As a team, TimeFlyZ are going from strength to strength with a fantastic group of dogs and teammates.
"Our skills, teamwork, and dedication have resulted in a club record of 14.64 seconds, ranking us the fifth fastest team in the UK and an admirable 25th globally.
"We are asking our friends, family, sponsors and local businesses to support our team with the costs required to get us to the Flyball Open World Cup.
So far, the team has raised more than £2,000 towards their fundraising target.
He added that, following the "recent and devastating loss of our dear friend and teammate Janice", the team is "more determined than ever to showcase our amazing team in her memory".
The team will also be donating 10 per cent of all funds raised to the charity MIND.
