The pavilion was unveiled on January 22 at Wisbech Park.

Representatives from Fenland District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Wisbech Town Council, and Probus, the project contractor, came together at Wisbech Park for the unveiling.

The community pavilion is the latest addition to Wisbech Park, which also has a Splash Pad and a children's play area.

It took seven months to build the pavilion, which has a large community space inside that can be used for events and activities, community meetings, workshops, or small-scale performances.

There's also space for a potential café or a pop up café in the pavilion.

The Wisbech Park pavilion also has improved public toilet facilities, as well as a "state-of-the-art" accessible Changing Places toilet.

The pavilion is set to open its doors to the Wisbech community in early spring. It will be managed by Wisbech Town Council, and a third party will manage the café area.

The pavilion project was funded by Cambridgeshire County Council's Communities Capital Fund, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority's Market Towns Programme, the Government's Changing Places initiative, and Fenland District Council.
