An off-road motorcross bike rider was arrested after he was spotted speeding, pulling wheelies and trying to goad officers before damaging a police car.

Members of the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol in the Elm Road area of Wisbech when they spotted the rider.

With his face covered and his hood up, he rode slowly past one of the team's police vehicles and smashed the wing mirror before speeding off and pulling a wheelie.

The actions of that rider have now put a police vehicle off the road.

The neighbourhood officers were determined to find him - and that they did.

The 22-year-old was arrested at his home in Leverington for dangerous driving, criminal damage, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, possession of a weapon in a private place and driving without insurance.

He had his bike seized before being taken to the Police Investigation Centre in King's Lynn.

He's been bailed while police carry out further enquiries.
