A man was arrested after police were alerted to a male waving a large kitchen knife around in the street in Wisbech.
Police attended the Cromwell Road area on the afternoon of Saturday January 13 following a number of 999 calls from concerned members of the public.
Officers the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and the Fenland Response Team then found the male who then refused to stop for officers.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers took control of the male and a search of him was carried out.
"A large kitchen knife was recovered from the man's waist band.
"A scalpel and stanley blade was also found on the man.
"He was arrested and taken to the Police Investigation Centre at King's Lynn.
"The man will now have to answer questions as to why he had these items.
"Thanks to the public who called this in swiftly."
