Worzals Arctic Adventure Christmas visit for care home

Residents and staff at Hickathrift House  in Marshland St James had a brilliant time visiting all the areas of Santa’s Arctic Adventure, especially the portal to the North Pole, the gingerbread decorating station, and Mother Christmas’ cosy kitchen.

The residents enjoyed the immersive, sensory experiences, singing along to the Christmas songs and exploring the various themed areas, before having a complimentary Christmas lunch provided by Worzals.

The Worzals’ team went above and beyond and provided presents to each resident and they got to pick a two-course meal from their Christmas menu.

Betty, a resident at Hickathrift House care home said: “It’s been such a magical day. This was my Christmas wish to have a meal out with friends.

“We’ve all really loved going around to all the different sections of Santa’s Arctic Adventure. I particularly enjoyed the dessert, it was delicious.

“However, the best part of the Santa’s Arctic Adventure was the animatronics, they had us all singing along and laughing throughout the trip.”

General Manager, Paula Colman said: “We love being able to take our residents out and about to visit Worzals and Santa’s Arctic Adventure, it makes us all so happy to experience Christmas events like this.

“It has been a fantastic day and we’ve all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”

Senior activities coordinator, Kat Colangelo said, “This is the Christmas memory we will all keep in our hearts.

“A truly wonderful place with staff who will go above and beyond for others. We all strongly recommend visiting if you can before Christmas.”
