Plans have been drawn up for three new homes on a former village bus depot.

West Norfolk Council agreed outline permission for the former Towler's Coaches depot at Emneth, near Wisbech, to be redeveloped earlier this year.

The site on Church Road had been vacant since the firm, which was first formed in 1932, ceased trading and its staff and contracts were taken on by another operator.

Now plans have been submitted for three two-bedroom bungalows on the site.

A planning statement says the design of the single storey properties was "informed by development elsewhere within the village of Emneth".

The garage building, which dates back to the 1950s, will be demolished before work on the site begins.

A decision is expected in the New Year.
