A cannabis factory with plants worth up to £225,000 was uncovered by police in a Fenland village.

The warrant was carried out on Monday at an abandoned building in Murrow after reports came in of the building being potentially used to grow cannabis.

419 plants worth up to £225,000 were found and no arrests were made, however an investigation is ongoing.

Police joked on social media by asking "is this a Christmas tree distribution centre preparing for the upcoming months?

"No, this is the outcome of a drugs warrant by our Wisbech neighbourhood team.

"Do you think you’d be able to identify whether you were living near a cannabis factory?

"Information and advice on how to report can be found on our website."
