Two people were hospitalised with serious injuries after two separate assaults in Wisbech.

Both assaults took place on Saturday (November 4).

In the first, which happened in the early hours of the morning at just before 3am, a 38-year-old man was attacked in Market Square.

In the second incident, a 19-year-old man was attacked at just after 3.20am outside the Nene petrol station on Lynn Road.

Both victims were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, and have now been discharged.

Police have since released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assaults.
