A Fenland care home is a den of ghoulish activity as the home’s spooky Halloween celebrations get into full swing.

Residents and staff at Hickathrift House care home, in Marshland St James, are getting into the spirit of things by holding a pumpkin flower arranging afternoon with Bargain Bridal Boutique.

Corrine, owner of Bargain Bridal Boutique, visited the care home with numerous artificial flowers of various types and colours for the residents to use for their pumpkin flower arranging.

Corrine, her daughter and grandson supported residents in making stunning floral displays for the home’s communal areas.

General manager, Paula Colman, cackled: “Our staff and residents loved this wonderful opportunity to do flower arranging with the owner, Corrine!

“The home looks fantastic with all the beautiful decorations – we’ve all had a brilliant time.”

Elsie, a resident at Hickathrift House said: “It has been such a fun afternoon. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get into the Halloween spirit and help decorate the home.

“I really enjoyed meeting Corrine and talking with her about the various artificial flowers she uses in her business.”
