Wisbech & Fenland Museum's Young Arts Open competition for artists aged 24 and under is expanding to include entries from across the districts of Fenland, South Holland and West Norfolk.

The free-to-enter competition is offering sponsorship opportunities to businesses, organisations and individuals keen to support children and young adults in the wider Fens area to share and showcase their talents.

The Museum is seeking sponsors for winner and highly-commended prizes in age-related categories from as little as £25 as well as offering an exclusive sponsorship package at £450 for sponsorship of the public exhibition and its associated events.

Wisbech Museum's Learning and Community Participation Officer Louise Haselgrove said: “We launched the Young Arts Open in 2023 to give young people in the Fens a public platform through which to showcase their creative talents.

“As a pilot year, we limited submissions to those living, studying, and working within the Wisbech area. We were amazed by the response from all age groups and were delighted to exhibit work from 50 young people in the final exhibition.

“In 2024, we want to extend our reach and welcome submissions from young people living, studying, or working within the districts of Fenland, South Holland and West Norfolk. We also hope to engage local schools.

“We're offering sponsorship packages to local businesses and organisations committed to supporting positive opportunities for young people in our area.”
