The Vaccinators are out on the road again this week offering those who are eligible the opportunity to get winter strong and have their covid vaccination at a walk-in clinic.

The vaccinators will be pulling up at Littleport, Wisbech, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Melbourn.

Those eligible to receive a covid vaccination will have been contacted by the NHS and this includes everyone aged 65 and over, pregnant women, adults and children with certain health conditions (aged 12+ only for walk in clinics), health and social care staff, carers and residents of care homes for older people.

No appointment is needed, walk-in clinics scheduled to take place this week include:

Littleport, Littleport Leisure Centre  - Tues 17 Oct, 10am-3pm

Wisbech, Queen Mary’s Centre - Thurs 19 Oct, 9am - 4pm

Huntingdon - Commemoration Hall - Fri 20 Oct, 10am – 2.30pm

Peterborough - Hampton Medical Centre - Sat 21 Oct, 9am - 2pm

Melbourn - Melbourn Hub - Sun 22 Oct, 9am - 3pm

Information on all walk-in clinics that will run from now until December can be found online at  https://www.cpics.org.uk/the-vaccinators.

People who would prefer to book can still arrange their appointments at bookable sites across the area via National Booking Service or by calling 119.

Dr Fiona Head, medical director at NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, part of the Integrated Care System (ICS) said: “Going into this winter, we want to give our local communities the maximum protection against COVID-19.

"Even for those who’ve had COVID-19, it’s still important to get a vaccination as viruses change and immunity decreases over time.

“Walk-in clinics will be taking place across range of locations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough over the coming weeks, providing those eligible with a quick and convenient way to get boosted for winter.”
