A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Monday morning in connection with recent moped thefts in the Wisbech area.

The boy was stopped and arrested in Chase Street, just before 8am, on suspicion of multiple thefts of a motor vehicle, possession of a class A drug, being in possession of a knife in a public place and going equipped for theft.

After spending the day with police in custody, he was released on bail to return next month while further enquiries are carried out.
