Police in Wisbech are investigating reports that children are climbing onto roof tops around the town centre and then using the area as a playground.
Officers have since stepped up patrols in the affected areas and are working to identify those involved.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary is also urging parents to highlight the dangers of this activity to their children and to make sure they know where their children are playing.
"Aside from the obvious risk of falling from height, damage is also likely being caused," said a police spokesperson.
