Three new flats could be built behind an existing house.

A developer named in planning papers as S Necker has applied to construct a one and two-storey building behind 58 Tinkers Drove, in Wisbech.

A design and access statement says the scheme will deliver three one-bedroom flats and landscaping to what is currently the rear garden of the property.

It adds: "The site is within easy access on foot, or bicycle to the town centre and shops, services and public transport links, it is possible that residents would choose to live without a car. As such no parking is proposed at the site."

It continues the site is "one of the most sustainable locations" in the area, with "excellent links to public transport" and is close to a shop and the Oasis Leisure Centre.

It says the properties will have gardens to the rear for bin storage and drying clothes, along with cycle storage.

A decision is expected from Fenland council later this year.
