A distillery will be unveiling its new cafe later this month following an "exciting" expansion.

Fenspirits, a producer of vodka, gins and rums, is set to more than double its Wells shop floor space with the upcoming opening of its new coffee shop and evening bar.

In April, the neighbouring business came up for rent, providing the "perfect opportunity" for company director Anthony Winterbourne to knock it through and vastly increase Fenspirit's offerings which range from real ale, chutneys and chocolate, to fudge and tea.

"We're really quite excited about it," Mr Winterbourne said.

"People like the fact that they can come into the shops and try everything.

"The natural extension of that is to open up an actual coffee shop and bar to further sample what we produce and what we offer from local producers who we work with."

Fenspirits has two additional locations; a distillery near Wisbech and another Fenspirits Larder branch in Hunstanton.

Officially opening on July 28, the new cafe and bar will seat 16 and remain open throughout the evening as a "place to visit for a quiet drink while enjoying the Wells seaside".
