£8,000 worth of goods was taken from John Lewis in Cambridge on April 7.
Police have since released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the shoplifting incident from the department store in Downing Street.
Anyone who recognises the man in the photo, or has any information, should contact police via their web chat service, quoting crime reference 35/26010/23, or call 101.
