The Wisbech Lithuanian community celebrated Palm Sunday on April 2 in preparation for Easter.
The morning started by attending church services at Our Lady & Saint Charles Borromeo Church, praying with with Rev James Caulfield and distributing the palms in the shape of crosses.
Then, the mass families of many different communities attended a fun Easter workshop in the next door Rosmini Centre and helped create a variety of beautiful decorations for a giant Easter Egg display in the church memorial garden.
Children had lots of fun with animators. Everyone enjoyed delicious homemade delicacies. Guests had an opportunity to win a variety of prizes donated by community members and sponsors in the Easter raffle.
A spokesperson said: “Wisbech Lithuanian Community Official is grateful to everyone for coming and bringing so much joy and laughter.
“It was such a pleasure feeling the presence of different communities and having lots of fun, chatting and bonding with new friends.
They added: “The display will be open until April 11 for everyone to visit and enjoy!
“Please feel free to take pictures with unique Easter bunnies, custom made by our community members, and create lovely memories to take home”.
