Stephen Alderton, of no fixed abode, has been charged in connection to the two shootings.

Alderton, 66, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm.

What time were police called?

  • Officers were first called just after 9pm on Wednesday March 29 and then a second call came in at 9.37pm.

Where did the shootings happen? 

  • Meridian Close in Bluntisham and The Row in Sutton.

How far away were the shootings? 

  • 6.5 miles by car.

What do we know about the victims?

  • Two men have died, aged 32 and 57.

Have any charges been made?

  • Yes. Stephen Alderton, aged 66 and of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm.

He is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court today (Monday April 3).

Were any other people arrested?

  • Yes. A 27-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, have been released with no further action taken.
