Orchard House care home had an “amazing” time with their homemade Winter Wonderland.

A petting zoo brought rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, a mischievous dog and a Shetland pony among more directly to residents in their rooms. 

Children got last-minute letters to Santa sent off and their faces painted while their parents got family Christmas photos. Wisbech Standard: Children from Little Owls Nursery posting their letters to Santa. Hot chocolate, homemade mince pies and a selection of biscuits were available.

Home manager Sarah Watson said: “This was an amazing event to hold at the home and all the people who live here enjoyed welcoming the community to join them.  

“Our team has worked incredibly hard to put this all together for everyone to enjoy and the smiles and laughter throughout the home was heart-warming.” 

Visiting children left with a little Christmas gift, a knitted hat or stuffed stocking.
