A MAN accused of attempting to supply drugs to an inmate at Whitemoor Prison in March has been remanded in custody.
John Taylor, 51, of Castle Croft Avenue, Blackrod, Bolton, appeared before Fenland magistrates on Tuesday, when he chose not indicate pleas to three drugs offences.
It is alleged he was found in possession of 26.49 grams of cannabis, 10.78 grams of heroin and 0.66 grams of cocaine at the high security jail on Sunday, with intent to supply them to James Joyce.
The court declined jurisdiction over the case and remanded Taylor in custody for seven days. He is due to be committed for trial at Cambridge Crown Court on July 20.
