A FENLAND man has been convicted of murdering his partner by drowning her in the bath 15 years ago.
William Mawhinney, 51, of Gracehill March, was convicted by a majority verdict of 10 to two at Belfast Crown Court today.
He was re-arrested in July last year charged with the 1995 murder of Lorraine Mills at the Ballymena home she shared with him and their two children.
Mr Justice Weir told him he would serve a life sentence but deferred a decision on the minimum term until January.
