A BREAK in the clouds enabled one reader to capture this picture of this morning’s partial solar eclipse.
Cloud cover obscured the moment for most people in the UK, but the sky was clear enough at 8.15am for Paul Norman of Hemingford Grey to take this image at the lake at Marsh Lane, Hemingford Grey.
Although there are three more partial solar eclipses this year, Europeans will not get another chance to see so much of the Sun being covered up by the Moon until 20 March 2015.
