FUNDS are on offer for some shop owners keen to improve the look of their premises.
Grants are available from Fenland District Council’s Fenland Renaissance programme for the repair or reintroduction of traditional timber shopfronts.
The grants cover up to 50 per cent of the total cost of the work, up to a maximum of 5,000, and can also be given for minor repairs or simply repainting.
Applications must be received by FDC before March 31 to be eligible for this year. Grants are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
For an application form or further details, call Martyn Kendall, FDC’s conservation officer, on 01354 654321 or e-mail mkendall@fenland.gov.uk
