VOLUNTARY and community groups can get specialist help in attracting extra funds at a free event taking place in Wisbech this month.

The Fenland Funder Fair has been organised by the Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service in partnership with Fenland District Council. It will bring together several funding agencies, including Fenland District Council, the Big Lottery, Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Waste Recycling Environmental (WREN) and Cambridgeshire Acre.

It will be at the Rosmini Centre, Queens Road, Wisbech, on May 19 from 9.30am-3.30pm. Following a series of presentations in the morning, participants will be able to get individual appointments with the various agencies.

There will be advice on how to grab attention with a bid and present a budget, as well as a case study from a successful community group.

The fair is free to voluntary and community groups. To book places or get more information, call CCVS on 01223 464696 or e-mail enquiries@cambridgecvs.org.uk
