PRINCIPAL Maureen Strudwick was delighted to learn that 20 per cent more of Thomas Clarkson Community College’s students achieved an A*-C in this year’s GCSE English results.
Sixty-eight students gained a higher grade pass in both English and maths. Forty-four per cent of the school’s pupils achieved five or more A*-C GCSE grades with 38 students achieving eight or more.
A stunning 50 per cent of students who took Russian gained an A* grade.
Mrs Strudwick said: “These results reflect the hard work of students and staff and the support provided by their parents.”
“I am particularly delighted with the improving results in English, which is a key to a successful future.”
