CAMBRIDGESHIRE darts legend Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams starred as England enjoyed an incredible World Cup - taking every gold medal on offer.
Adams was one of the four-man England team that took the overall title at the World Darts Federation competition played in Castlebar, Ireland.
He also won the men’s pairs title with partner Tony O’Shea and took the silver medal in the men’s singles - losing to England team-mate Scott Waites in the final.
It was also a memorable week for Peter Melton, the Chairman of Cambridgeshire Darts Organisation.
Melton managed the successful England men’s team and also the triumphant ladies team of Trina Gulliver and Deta Hedman.
England took every gold medal in the entire event for the only the second time in World Cup history. The country’s previous clean sweep was in 1995 - when Adams made his World Cup debut.
With England’s young stars also taking the overall youth title, Melton described the competition as “the greatest day in English darting history”.
