POLICE are urging residents to secure their sheds following a spate of break-ins across Fenland.
Almost 50 offences have been reported in the past four weeks across the county with eight break-ins occurring in March and four in Wisbech.
Bicycles, tools and fishing equipment are among the items thought to have been stolen.
Julie Hanrahan, community safety officer for Cambridgeshire Police, said: “I would urge shed owners to invest in security devices to help deter thieves. “Closed shackle padlocks and shed alarms can help prevent break-ins, and it is also worth property marking high value items.”
