STUDENTS in Fenland wore fancy dress and took part in embarrassing events today to raise money for Children in Need.
Some had their legs waxed while others had their long hair shaved off as students and teachers at Sir Harry Smith Community College, Whittlesey, wore fancy dress costumes to raise as much money as possible for the charity which helps disadvantaged youngsters in the UK.
Students got their own back on science teacher Scott Baxter as they bombarded him with wet sponges when he was put in the stocks.
BBC presenter Matt Baker travelled through the Fenland town yesterday on his rickshaw ride from Edinburgh to London to arrive in time for tonight’s marathon show in aid of the charity.
