A MAN is due to appear in court this morning charged with five counts of attempted murder in connection with a shooting incident on the A47.
Joseph Upton, 38, of Murrow Lane, Parson Drove, will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court in connection with the incident last month.
Police were called to the scene of a collision on the A47 between Guyhirn and Wisbech in the early hours of Saturday, November 19.
A car had left the road shortly before 4am and overturned. An investigation was launched and police confirmed that a firearm had been involved in the incident.
Fenland’s busiest road was closed for more than 10 hours while forensic officers investigated the scene.
