A FENLAND woman whose father fought in the 1899 Boer War has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Dorothy Morley’s husband also served in the Royal Navy during the First World War.
The Chatteris resident shared her “wonderful memories” with North East Cambs MP Steve Barclay during her centenary celebrations.
“I was fortunate enough to enjoy a chat with her and her son and daughter where we discussed some of the changes that have taken place in the Fens over recent years,” Mr Barclay said. “It was a real highlight of my week.”
