THE netball county finals beckon for Upwell Community Primary School after a victorious trip to King’s Lynn.
Their team of eight travelled to the West Norfolk Area Netball League Finals where they played three pool matches winning them all before taking on South Wootton in the first knock-out round.
Taken to sudden death by Wootton, Upwell still prevailed with Charley Pinder-Whiley scoring the winning goal. In the next game they played Hillcrest - a team they had never beaten - but it was Upwell’s day after they won 2-1, taking them to the county finals.
The team and organiser Mrs Cox will go to Norwich on June 18.
