FORMER College of West Anglia student Conor Glover has won a 500 prize and an important national civil engineering accolade.
He has been judged the best technician candidate by the Institution of Civil Engineers, and will receive his prize at a ceremony in October.
After finishing his studies, Conor joined Skanska Civil Engineering - a major international company.
He said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Jean Venables Medal. Winning this will go a long way to saying thank you to all the people who have put their time into my development and those who have supported me throughout my career so far.
“The amount of effort put into developing engineers by Skanska, ICE and the industry in general is amazing and has inspired me to do likewise.”
