LAND yachting star Rhys Davies claimed an emphatic victory in the fourth round of the British Championships.
Davies, from March, maintained his place at the top of the standings after winning the standart category at Hoylake.
The Anglia Land Yacht Club ace won the first three races thanks to rapid starts but finished third in the final event.
The results leave Davies in the championship lead with two rounds to go. They will be staged on the tarmac at Royston and York.
Davies, who won the British Land Yacht Championships in 2007 and 2010, has been competing at a national level since 1990.
