WISBECH Town’s pre-season campaign got off to a winning start last night as they beat Sleaford Town 2-0.
The Fenmen made the trip to Lincolnshire and took the lead after just nine minutes against the United Counties League side.
Last season’s top-scorer Chris Bacon continued where he left off by finding the net.
His strike was doubled in the 41st minute by Callum Reed, who converted from the penalty spot.
Wisbech travel to King’s Lynn Town tomorrow for the first derby against their fiercest rivals in nine years.
