FLYING mud and a rain-soaked course could not stop Wisbech and District Kart Racing Club warming up for the British Championships.
The grass karting stars turned out in force to conquer the wet Manea track.
Ian Laws led the way in the 250cc open class by amassing a maximum 100 points to beat Marcus Halls and Josh Kiernan.
Ben Jackson pipped Ashley Hornigold, James Fisher and Luke Manders to take the 250cc four stroke category prize.
Lady drivers Beth Brooker and Esme Atkin mastered the tricky conditions to dominate the junior 70cc and 90cc classes.
Harry Hensby returned to form with a win in the junior 125cc four stroke while Stephen Gardner and George Carter also recorded victories.
Martin Osborne, from the club, said: “I can honestly say along with many of the club’s senior drivers, that I too thought this was one of the best race meetings that I have been fortunate enough to attend.
“The conditions weren’t ideal at times, but everyone got on with it and made it a spectacular meeting to watch.”
