NINE students at Wisbech Grammar School opened their GCSE exam results to find they had achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades.
The high-performing teenagers received the top two grades in all their subjects, while 35 pupils notched up five or more passes at the highest two marks.
The grammar school boasted a pass rate of 91 per cent at A*-C and 42 per cent at A*-A.
Headmaster Nicholas Hammond said: “We are absolutely delighted with the performance of our GCSE candidates, who have worked hard to achieve such a fine set of results.”
Last year, the school achieved a 100 per cent pass rate at grade C or above in five subjects, including English and maths.
