MARCH Town United boss Paul Crosbie admitted he was ready to ring the changes after watching his side limp to defeat against Fakenham Town.

The Hares four-game unbeaten run in the Thurlow Nunn First Division was halted by Fakenham, who cruised to a 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

The loss, which leaves March seventh in the league, has left Crosbie considering changes for Saturday’s clash with Great Yarmouth Town at the GER.

He said: “The defeat made me think that there are few players in the squad who have been waiting patiently for an opportunity and Saturday could be the time to bring a few of them in.

“You don’t lose games 3-0 and call yourself unlucky, we didn’t do enough and we were not good enough so, with a run of games coming up, I will be looking to make a few changes to the team.”

Despite going in at half-time locked at 0-0, the Hares were immediately on the back foot after they conceded little more than a minute after the restart, Sam Garner nodding home unchallenged.

March tried hard to find a way back into the match but further lapses saw former Hare Kyle Plumb strike twice to take full advantage, wrapping up the win with a quarter of the game to spare.

Crosbie said: “The last 15 minutes of the first half we bossed the match but we were poor in the second half and we have to perform across the full 90 minutes if we want to get the right result.”
