THE ambulance service has urged caution on Cambridgeshire’s roads after a collision today on the A47.

Two casualties are in hospital, with one man suffering head and spinal injuries, after a collision between a car and a tractor on the A47 at Thorney.

Ambulance crews were called at 8.54am, attending to a man in his 50s and a second casualty.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “The conditions on the roads are icy and we want to urge drivers to take care.

“Neither casualty is thought to be in a critical condition and both were conveyed to Peterborough City Hospital.”
