A ROYAL Opera House costume maker who has worked with ballet and opera superstars was the guest speaker at Chatteris Come and Be Heard’s first meeting of the year.
Janet Huntleigh-Smith, who has fitted Margot Fonteyn and Darcy Bussell during her illustrious career, brought along a tutu from the Nutcracker and provided the 24 members in attendance with a fascinating glimpse into the world of ballet and opera.
The members sent a birthday card to former member Doris Oakey, who celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this month.
The group, which supports people with hearing difficulties, next meets on February 22 at Lyon’s Court with a guest speaker from Caring Link.
