ELGOOD’S Black Dog has seen off competition from thousands of beers from 45 countries to collect a gold medal at the International Brewing Awards 2013, triumphing in the dark beer class.
Elgood and Sons will be presented with the gold medal at a ceremony in the Guildhall in London on April 24.
The competition, sponsored by the Brewing, Food and Beverage Suppliers Association (BFBI), took place at the National Brewery Centre in Burton Upon Trent.
Black Dog is a 3.6 per cent ABV. cask conditioned traditional dark mild. Its well balanced malt and hops gives a pleasant aroma and taste, with roasted bitter flavours.
