CHRIS Bacon’s double helped Wisbech Town secure second spot in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.
Dereham Town were confirmed as champions with a 5-0 win over Clacton FC.
Sloppy defending allowed Brantham Athletic to take the lead after three minutes but Danny White continued his fine goal-scoring form with a spectacular equaliser.
He surged forward with the ball through the heart of midfield and produced an exquisite lob over the hapless goalkeeper.
Bacon then put Wisbech ahead from the penalty spot before they were once again pegged back by Brantham.
In the second half, Matt Lunn intercepted a stray pass from a Brantham defender and slid the ball through to Joe Jackson who calmly slotted the ball home.
Bacon put the result beyond doubt in the 89th minute with a tidy finish after good build-up play from Jackson.
The Fenmen welcome Felixstowe & Walton United to the Elgood’s Stadium tomorrow in their final league game of the season.
