THE 160 million year old remains of a Jurassic era dinosaur will be excavated live in Whittlesey at the end of next month.

Jamie Jordan, owner of March’s Fossil Galore, and his team will set up a portable preparation laboratory at Kings Dyke Nature Reserve in Whittlesey, where they will be working on marine reptile Plesy the Plesiosaur.

Plesy was first discovered by Mr Jordan at Maxey Quarry in Peterborough in July 2006.

The excavation will take place on June 28, June 30 and July 1, from 12noon to 6pm.
