A SHAMED financial controller from March appeared at Peterborough Crown Court today where he pleaded guilty to stealing £195,719.53 from the firm where he worked for 12 years.
Robert Wilson, of Bronze Street, March, showed no remorse as the charge was read out to him of stealing thousands of pounds from his bosses between 31 July 2007 and 13 November 2012.
Wilson, a former financial controller with S&W Processing in Longhill Rd, March, turned up to court with family and a friend to hear the charges read out and enter his formal plea.
The 32 year-old of Bronze Street, March, stole money from his former employers over a five year period to fund a cocaine habit.
Company boss Graham Whyles and his sons Nathan, Richard and Brett and director Diane Nunn were in the public gallery to see their former employee hear the single charge of theft read out.
Wilson, dressed in a short sleeve shirt and tie appeared indifferent as he admitted the theft.
The case was adjourned by Judge Sean Enright for reports into Wilson’s background and psychiatric state of mind.
He will next appear before Peterborough Crown Court for sentencing on Friday July 26.
He was given unconditional bail.
The S & W Group was set up in 1982 and has become market leaders across Europe and the UK in the supply of process plant and services for the food process industries. They employ 35 staff, mostly with an engineering background.
