AN OPTICAL assistant took part in an epic 100-mile trek to raise more than £500 for charity.
Katie Jolly, from Specsavers, Market Place, Wisbech, joined a group of walkers for the week-long trek from Bournemouth to Exeter in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, who provide care and support to children with life-threatening conditions and their families across Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
She said: “I really enjoyed the challenge of the trek and enjoyed raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices fundraiser Mark Loades says: “The generous pledge will help us to continue our work and provide care and support to families of children who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses.”
