A FENLAND man donated his 100th pint of blood yesterday.
Geoffrey Spencer, of Wisbech, achieved the milestone, which only one per cent of donors reach, at Elme Hall Hotel, Elm.
The NHS Blood and Transplant Service will organise a cermony to celebrate Mr Spencer’s centenary.
Derek Carr, lead donor relations manager for NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “We are very grateful to Mr Spencer for his commitment and loyalty to blood donation over the years.
“Reaching the 100th donation milestone is definitely something to be proud of.
“Taking time to donate blood is one of the most selfless and generous things you can do to help others and we hope that he will continue to donate for as long as he is able to.”
