Eight cadets have returned from an expedition in the Yorkshire Moors.
The 1220 (March) Squadron cadets walked varied routes across the Moors, starting near Rosedale Abbey and finishing on the coast at Whitby Abbey three days later.
They booked their own campsites, planned the route and were left to fend for themselves.
The cadets are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s award at Silver level.
They were assessed by a member of the Yorkshire Moors Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Panel, who praised their navigation skills.
Cadet Katie Mowatt ,15, said: “I really enjoyed my expedition, it was a great experience. I’ve learned a lot which I will be able to put to good use if I progress to do the Gold award.”
