Grants of up to £500 are available for local groups keen to work together on joint projects to tackle derelict buildings and improve the environment.
To qualify for Street Pride Grants, which are provided by Fenland District Council, projects must rejuvenate buildings and street furniture, engage young people in environmental issues, encourage others to take pride in Fenland or care for a nature reserve, cemetery or other green space
Separate grants of up to £500 are also available through the “Changing Views” strand of the council’s Renaissance scheme for groups who specifically want to improve the look of empty buildings or vacant sites.
This could involve decoration, hoarding or grounds improvements.
