The British Eventing horse calendar opened with a successful event held at Isleham, near Ely.
Riders from across the country took part in the event at White Hall Farm, including international riders whose horses are likely to appear at competitions later in the year at Burghley and Badminton.
Some competitors travelled from as far as Scotland and Ireland to compete.
Organiser Jackie Seddon said the Isleham event had been running since 1990 and this year attracted the most number of spectators to enjoy the riding skills over the course of the weekend.
“We were very well supported, the weather was good as was the ground,” she said.
The event raised around £4,000 for Ely stroke charity Pos+Ability.
